At Prestwick Service Center we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelle systems. As part of our planned continued expansion, we require individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.

We have opportunities for individuals to undertake a four year Modern Apprenticeship to gain a recognised trade within the aircraft industry.

You will spend your first year attending a local college where you will gain engineering experience and work towards achieving an SVQ Level 2 in Engineering and a National Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering. For the next three years of the apprenticeship you will work at Prestwick Service Center where you will gain hands-on experience working directly on the shop floor and learning your trade which involves working with various tools and materials using technical manuals and blueprints to inspect and repair aircraft components, working onsite towards an SVQ Level 3. The opportunity to attend college on a day release basis in order to gain a Higher National Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering will also be offered.

**Requirements:**

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you will have (or will be expecting to achieve) a minimum of National 5 (or equivalent) in Maths, Physics and English. It is also preferred that you will have studied a relevant practical subject. You will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, be able to demonstrate basic mechanical skills and have a demonstrable interest in engineering and mechanics.

Compliance with all UTC policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and ITC requirements is essential.
