Growing organization with an amazing benefits/retirement plan is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their team. The selected individual will have solid electro-mechanical and control systems maintenance and setup skills. This position has the primary responsibility for the testing, successful start-up and commissioning of new control system projects as well as the troubleshooting and service/repair of installed projects for water and waste water projects. Solid customer service skills are a must.
+ You will work in close cooperation with Project Manager, Project Engineer and Programmer to ensure common understanding among project team members and establish project schedule.
+ Review project plans and specification, operational descriptions and company proposal/scope of work.
+ Work with Project Manager, Sales, external contractors and end-users as required to obtain required information and clarifications.
+ Perform checkout/testing of control systems in factory prior to shipment:
+ Electrical/mechanical Software and operational.
+ Participate in and/or coordinate field start-up and commissioning with contractors and end-users as required per the project plans.
+ Installation, System De-bugging and Commissioning: Electrical/mechanical, Programming/software, Calibration of instrumentation and System interconnection to other devices/system.
+ Training, Project Documentation and Close out.
+ Perform after-market field services on-demand and/or part of service contracts of control systems: Repairs, Parts, Retro-fits, Calibration and Service and expense reports as required to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
+ Monitor/review project budgets and schedule for any required changes or corrective actions.
+ Implement and follow company standards in regard to testing, start-up and aftermarket service.
+ Provide feedback for improvement and changes.
+ Provide input and guidance as required to other functions such as Sales for opportunity evaluation and estimating and provide feedback to engineering and programming related to design and functionality improvements.
